Pumpkin Torture

We had everyone over for carving pumpkins one sunday afternoon. It was a beautiful day!

Then the real torture began!

It was a sad day. Sadie liked to talk about it after though but she always said she did not want to get in again.

Halloween

Matt and I went on a date before Halloween. It was nice to go on one. We went while Kristin and Seth took the girls to their Trunk-or-treat. Unfortunately Matt only would pose for two pictures and they were both blurry. We had fun and Matt kicked my bum at mini golf.

On Halloween we dressed up and went to visit the Greats. First stop was Great Grandma and Grandpa Hatch. We were so happy to see them again!

They are always such gracious hosts. They fed us, gave us candy, and socialized with us for a bit. It was really nice to be with them and I am glad my kids are getting to know them, even just a bit.
Then we visited Grandpa Catron and hopefully I remember to ask Chrissy for the pictures before this posts…
Afterwards we rushed back to go to our trunk or treat at our church building. Since there was a ton of traffic, Matt decorated Andrea’s car as a Haunted House. It was awesome. Kristin and Seth came after a while too and we all had fun hanging out.

Our trunk won so we got a whole box of Costco full size bars. As if we needed more candy.

Matt and Kristin took Sadie trick or treating later and then we checked out the loot. Pretty good eh?

And here is just a random picture of Scout and the caution tape.

It was a good Halloween for these girls don’t you think?

Halloween Half

Kristin, Seth, Andrea, and Andrea’s friend all ran the Halloween half and so we went to cheer them on. This is Kristin crossing the finish line. We tried to drive around and find them but couldn’t so we went to the finish line and got there just in time to see Seth and Kristin finish. It was really fun even though  Sadie and Scout didn’t know what was going on.

We were so proud of them!

We even made a sign for them.

It was fun to see them and it was even sunny and warm which made it really nice. They got some food after and were nice to share it with the girls. Here is Scout eyeing Seth probably trying to mooch more food off of him. haha

Thanks for letting us come watch!

The Patch with the Dad

Matt had not been to the pumpkin patch with us yet so we headed down there on the 29th after getting our free Chick fila. We were so blessed to have free breakfast every Wednesday in October from Chickfila. It was delicious. But anyway, we headed down to the patch with Matt.
Matt is really in to putting this on Scout’s head. It is good because it keeps her from scratching her ears. But it is a little bit goofy.

Sadie really liked showing her daddy the animals.

We did the big Hay maze again and Matt had fun hiding from the Sadster.

Then we went over to the slides. Sadie had such a good time doing it with Daddy. She loves it when he can play with us.

Then we climbed up the big hay pyramid. They have so many things to do there so this was the first time that we did this. We knew Daddy would want to do it though so we had fun doing it with him. I know the lighting is bad but I LOVE this picture!

Then we went on the tractor ride. Daddy loves to get kisses from his girls. And he makes everything so fun!

Homecoming Parade

We love going to the Homecomeing Parage every year. They do blue pancakes and milk and music and it is so fun! This year we roped our neighbors in to walking over with us. We were a little panicked about the time and rushed over only to wait for 40 minutes before the parade got to us…Note to self…Don’t worry about being there until 11 Winking smile

Sadie loves this kid named Jordan. They could (and do) play for hours at a time! They are so creative and love to build things.

Chrissy was a good sport and came over for some fun too!

We cheer for everyone in the parade…

We saw some really cool things. Cosmo-the kids were scared and ran away from him, balloons, floats, dancers, etc. It was a lot of fun and I think the kids enjoyed seeing everything. They enjoyed the candy being thrown out too.

After my neighbor and I walked over to the Baby Expo and looked around. Sadie had an accident right when we walked in and then Scout pooped and need to be fed, but we eventually got to enjoy everything. We even met Anna and Elsa!
DSCF0273DSCF0274
Ironically enough we met Spiderman first and even though Sadie was too shy to talk to him and wouldn’t take a picture with him, that is all she talked about for a week. Spiderman, Spiderman, Spiderman!
It was a great day to be outside and walk around and see so many fun things!

Pumpkin Patch…again

We went to the pumpkin patch like 5 times. I wish we had gone more. It was so fun! And free! This time we went with Andrea. Once again we spent a lot of time in the corn pit. It is in the front and Sadie loves it so we spend a lot of time there.  I didn’t love it this year though since Scout wanted to eat all of the corn.

We went and spent some time in the big hay bale maze thing too. I tried to get a good picture of the girls but alas…
DSCF0208IMG_9963
Andrea is so good to always help carry the kids and she deals well with Sadie rejecting everyone but me. She is a good sport about it.
IMG_9947
Sadie loves the animals. One time when we went someone had brought carrots and let Sadie feed the animals some so she asked me every time for carrots. Unfortunately, I never actually remembered to bring any carrots.
IMG_9949
Yes, this is a kanagroo.
IMG_9954IMG_9958
We walked around a bit and then went on the tractor ride.
IMG_9974IMG_9978
Sadie loves the tractor ride. We get too see horses and donkeys on the ride.
IMG_9981IMG_9989IMG_9992

It was a lot of fun and we love having family come with us to play. It makes it a lot more enjoyable for the kids since they can each have someone paying attention to them.
