5K and More fun

We got to run the alumni 5K! Grammy, Grandma and Chrissy were nice enough to push my kids so that I could run fast. I did it in 30:17 so that was awesome for me.

Most of the photos from this weekend I am borrowing from other people so I don’t have pictures of everyone.

We went swimming at Grammy’s hotel later and it was a blast. We loved it even if it was short and the hot tub was closed. The Grandmas babysat for the afternoon session of conference and during priesthood so Matt and I could go up to conference so that was really nice. General conference really is the best. It was fun to go to another session in the conference center! We loved it! (Thank you Grandma Hatch for the tickets!!)

Grammy and Grandma are Here!

Grammy got in and we went to Cracker Barrell. It was delicious and we loved looking around at everything! They have the cutest things there and always something I am tempted to buy! (Don’t worry Matt—I don’t buy anything)

Sadie was so happy to see her Grammy!

The next day for parent weekend we went to the MOA to check it out with Grandma Laura. We loved seeing the pretty costumes and paintings on display. It was a beautiful day and Sadie enjoyed walking around and jumping with Grandma.

After the MOA Grandma babysat while my mom, Chrissy and I hiked the Y.
It was really hot and I was really slow but we had a good time!

Chrissy laughs at me because my face gets so red but nothing I can do about that. Chrissy doesn’t love hiking the Y but we had a good time anyway.
After the Y we went to the BYU football game with the family. It was a lot of fun and it was super nice of Grammy to get me and Matt tickets and Grandma to get Sadie one!

And one picture of us girls. (Which won one of the photo contests for the alumni weekend. Woot woot)

The game was a disaster. It stunk but it was still fun. Sadie liked it and Scout slept through the whole thing. haha. We love having family in town and having all these fun adventures!

Museum of Art Toddler Time

MY friend Cami told me about this program at the Museum of Art for toddlers. We all signed up to go together and it was a lot of fun! We had so much fun and Sadie loves having Kelsey around because Kelsey will hold Sadie’s hand. haha
We got there a little bit early and so we sat on the couches inside the door and waited. Waiting with 3 two year olds though was a bit tricky. But they had fun.

Sadie loves having friends so much.
We began by going outside and reading a couple books. It was a beautiful day outside and they had a tarp for the kids to sit on.

Sadie loves to hold hands. Not sure how she got both of them at the same time!

Then we went inside and did some crafts! It was really clever and fun!

We always enjoy playing with friends and Sadie really enjoyed getting messy and painting with her feet! It was a great activity for the kids and was nice to get out of the house for a bit.

Raspberries

One of the things that I have been wanting to do this year was go to a you pick farm. So, after hearing some good things about this place, we went to check it out “for my birthday.” Matt is such a good sport about spoiling me for my birthday. Plus, he loves fruit so it was not that hard to convince him to go. Chrissy also was a good sport to come!Raspberry
Sadie loved having her own bucket to fill. Scout could not decide if she liked the berries or not.
It was really fun to pick and they let you eat all the berries you want! It was awesome. I ate a TON of berries and I was thrilled to be doing that. Chrissy and Matt took the kids and I just cruised through the vines and picked as many as I could. The also had deer and goats next door so Matt took the kids to say hi to them.

It was so fun and I am glad we got to do it. We bought about 4 pounds for 9 dollars which was a great deal! And we got to eat so many as well!

They even told us to take some pretty flowers! How nice!!

second falls

Matt wanted to go on a hike on his day off and so we picked up Andrea and Chrissy and headed over to Second Falls. It is the Falls east of Bridal Veil Falls. It was a short hike but pretty. Much less travelled than other trails around here and it was pretty. Unfortunately it was dark before we got back to the car but that was okay. We came prepared.

We are so luck to have such good aunties who live by us. They are always willing to help out if I need it.

Matt and Scout were the first to arrive.

The Bean Museum

We were so happy to have this open again. We definitely will be taking advantage of this during the cold winter’s months!
We went to story time at the library and then headed up to the Bean Museum. I did not know that they also did a story time on Thursdays! So we read some animal books and then met up with our friends the Wings who are back in Provo again. Sadie and Kelsey were so excited to see each other and held hands and were just so happy. It was really cute.

Scout enjoyed her nap. She didn’t even know that there was a gecko or whatever that is right next to her!
DSCF9709
We ran around and looked at everything. The girls enjoyed yelling at things and running away from Cami and me. Here they are yelling “HELLO GIRAFFE!!!” over and over again. It was pretty funny but I felt bad for this group of older people who were there with their cameras and serious faces.

We had a great time and are glad that there are so many free opportunities around Provo for us to enjoy.

Owl’s Game

Remember when I was talking about how awesome the Pass of All Passes was? Well, we get to go to Owl Games for free too! We went with our friends the Bucks who invited us. They are good about taking advantage of their cards.

They were smart and brought glow sticks for the kids to play with!

Sadie ran down with Matt after the game and got a baseball! She was so excited. (Mostly because Henry was so excited about his and Matt was talking it up). But still pretty cool.

We Love playing with the Bucks! Sadie talks about them all the time!
