Y lights

So I have never hiked the Y when it was lit. They light the Y for graduation, Freshman orientation, and homecoming week (I think that is all). So Matt was really excited and off we went. Chrissy and Andrea were good sports to come with us!
I started out with Scout but stopped to take my sweatshirt off and Matt stole her.

You probably can’t tell but Sadie is asleep in the next picture. And Matt decided he had to be macho and carry both children. We all tried to take them but nope.

It took us probably 40 minutes to get to the top. We hung out for a little bit to look at the lights and Sadie wanted to climb around for a minute.

She liked the lights. We prepped before we came to get her excited. It was a little too late though and she ended up just being tired. She mostly just wanted her Mommy, which is her phrase nowadays. Especially when she is crabby.
Here are a few images from the top. Scout was a trooper and basically slept through the whole thing.

Our group. It was really fun to see all the pretty lights. I love hiking at night, or at least driving up the mountain to see the lights all around. Sadie did ask where the fireworks were since last time we drove up there it was Pioneer Day.

So pretty! We loved doing it and I was exhausted after. We probably got home around eleven. Andrea was crazy and did it again with her friends right after!

Leaves are the best

We raked all the leaves into a pile and all the kids on our street came to play. It was a lot of fun.

This is what I found the other day in Scout’s crib. I have been trying to put them down at the same time for naps but this is what happens instead.

My neighbor invited me to go look at the dollhouses with her. So we rounded up the kids in the neighborhood and went down to look. I love that they hold hands.

Blessing Scout

We blessed Scout on October 12th. It was so wonderful to have almost everyone there for the blessing.
Happy-Blessing13
She is such a joy to have. She is so funny and super determined. I am so glad my husband is willing and worthy to bless her!

We had a large group come and support us and we are so grateful that we are the recipients of love from so many. Thank you to all who came!

Swimming, dolls and blessings

We were so blessed to have Aunt Pam, Uncle Ed, and Kyle come to visit! They brought Sadie and Scout little Disney dolls. Sadie chose Rapunzel and Scout chose Belle. They ABSOLUTELY love them!! It is so fun to see them play with them. Scout loves her doll and wants to wrestle her.

We got to take them up to the Temple and around BYU. It was a lot of fun to show them things. Grammy and Grampy babysat Sadie and Scout for me.

We swam a couple times at the hotel with everyone. It was a blast. The kids love the pool and Sadie loves the hot tub.

More family fun

Monday night (the 6th) we had my cousin Tierney’s baby shower. Her baby came a little early so we never celebrated it. Unfortunately they couldn’t make it but we really enjoyed hanging out as a family. Chrissy and I drove back with Scout and visited a family from Chrissy’s mission in Chile. It was really neat and they were so good with Scout. While Chrissy and I were doing that Matt, Grandma Laura and Sadie went to Hunter and Riana’s house for dinner. They ate good food and danced.

Tuesday we went to the Pumpkin Patch. It was a lot of fun to go with Jessie and Grandma and Kristin. We love this Pumpkin Patch. Everything except the maze and the pumpkins are free so it is basically the best thing ever!

We love the corn pit. It is really big and awesome!

Sadie loves the wagons too. We got to pull them a lot and put pumpkins in them.

Wednesday Sadie, Jessie, Scout, Grandma Laura and I all drove up to SLC to pick up Grammy. We checked out Temple Square while we were there. We love to go to the temple and the girls loved it!
