We left our hotel around nine to head over to Disneyland. We took the shuttle since the hotel was close so that was really nice. It was like a five minute ride, if that. Grandma was picking up Uncle Milton to go with us so that is why she is not pictured.
We were excited to get there. Aaron and Seth were really excited to play with the babies and show them all the cool stuff. They were really good about entertaining them and pushing the stroller or carrying Sadie for me throughout the trip.
We are in!!
First thing we saw was Goofy so naturally we had to run over and get a picture with him!!
And then of course the Disneyland castle! Can’t miss that as you are walking down Main Street.
We walked around for a little while and then headed to the Dumbo ride. Aaron and Seth did a really good job of getting Sadie excited. She was yelling “Wow!” by the time we got to the front of the line! Thanks guys.
Once we got on though she wasn’t quite sure what to think. She was basically reactionless on the ride.
We went on the Jungle Cruise next. It was fun and full of REALLY corny jokes. So naturally I liked it a lot. Sadie liked looking at all of the animals.
Clark slept. He is a good napper for this ride! We went and got lunch after this.
After lunch I watch Clark and Sadie while the other folks went on Star Tourz. I think they liked that one. Sadie enjoyed going over to the Disney Vacation booth. They gave her some stickers to play with. Sadie and Clark ate a lot of snacks while they were on the ride.
We split up for a bit and Grandma, Sadie and I tried to find some princesses. we got to see an “impromptu” performance by Mary Poppins and her gang. She came right up to us. Sadie didn’t know what to think. haha.
Grandma was nice and went to the other side to get this picture for us!!
Then we tried to get the sword out of the stone.
We met up with everyone after this at Teacups. Aaron and Seth wanted to take Sadie but I thought their spinning might make her sick. She went with me and Grandma. Grandma spinned it. I felt sick but Sadie liked it so we spinned for the whole time. haha
We all headed over to Toontown to check it out and see if we can find any Disney characters.
It was kind of neat over there. They had the characters houses and everything so it was really fun. They also had a lot of hands-on things for the kids to do. Aaron and Seth really enjoyed playing with the kids here.
We ran back over to Splash Mountain so they could use their fast passes there and waited until they were done. After we went over and did the Winnie the Poo ride. It was kind of like a big hallucinogen so I was wondering the whole time what the babies were thinking.
We saw all of the Winnie the Poo characters but we didn’t want to wait in line to see them so we got them from afar. I didn’t want everyone to have to wait with us so…
Then we played with bubbles for a while. Sadie LOVED all of the bubble guns they had at Disneyland. I was tempted to buy one but I wanted to get it somewhere else. She is getting one for Christmas shhhh!
The babies were WIPED by this point, I don’t think either had taken a nap all day really so they napped while we went over to dinner. Grandpa put Sadie to sleep in his arms (which is a feat for anyone who knows that Sadie doesn’t like to be held lying down or take naps in arms.)
After dinner we rode the train and the boys left to go on an adventure. Grandpa, Jess and I (and the babies obviously) rode the train for a while around the park and then got off to go to Innovations.
Finally somewhere for the babies to play and run around!
They had an Ironman place to look at the suits. When I turned my back once Sadie was trying to climb under those glass barriers. She was close to getting through too!
Halloween is cool because they had all of the decorations.
The kids had fun brushing their teeth together and then they headed to bed.
A little bit more hang out time before bed!
It was a really good day and we had a lot fun but we were really tired!!
What a fun, fun day! I'm so glad that you were able to do this. So generous of your other ma and pa! The pictures are very cute...the lower left on one of the collages with the two babies is so funny. And of course I love everyone smashed in the tea cup :)
ReplyDeleteHow nice to have all that help! I want to go with you guys!
