Disneyland Saturday!

We left our hotel around nine to head over to Disneyland. We took the shuttle since the hotel was close so that was really nice. It was like a five minute ride, if that. Grandma was picking up Uncle Milton to go with us so that is why she is not pictured.

We were excited to get there. Aaron and Seth were really excited to play with the babies and show them all the cool stuff. They were really good about entertaining them and pushing the stroller or carrying Sadie for me throughout the trip.

We are in!!

IMG_0032

First thing we saw was Goofy so naturally we had to run over and get a picture with him!!

IMG_0042

And then of course the Disneyland castle! Can’t miss that as you are walking down Main Street. IMG_0056

We walked around for a little while and then headed to the Dumbo ride. Aaron and Seth did a really good job of getting Sadie excited. She was yelling “Wow!” by the time we got to the front of the line! Thanks guys.

Disneyland

Once we got on though she wasn’t quite sure what to think. She was basically reactionless on the ride.

We went on the Jungle Cruise next. It was fun and full of REALLY corny jokes. So naturally I liked it a lot. Sadie liked looking at all of the animals.

Clark slept. He is a good napper for this ride! We went and got lunch after this.

After lunch I watch Clark and Sadie while the other folks went on Star Tourz. I think they liked that one. Sadie enjoyed going over to the Disney Vacation booth. They gave her some stickers to play with. Sadie and Clark ate a lot of snacks while they were on the ride.

We split up for a bit and Grandma, Sadie and I tried to find some princesses. we got to see an “impromptu” performance by Mary Poppins and her gang. She came right up to us. Sadie didn’t know what to think. haha. IMG_6209

Grandma was nice and went to the other side to get this picture for us!! Smile

Then we tried to get the sword out of the stone.

 IMG_0133IMG_0131

We met up with everyone after this at Teacups. Smile Aaron and Seth wanted to take Sadie but I thought their spinning might make her sick. She went with me and Grandma. Grandma spinned it. I felt sick but Sadie liked it so we spinned for the whole time. haha

Disneyland1

We all headed over to Toontown to check it out and see if we can find any Disney characters.

Disneyland2

It was kind of neat over there. They had the characters houses and everything so it was really fun. They also had a lot of hands-on things for the kids to do. Aaron and Seth really enjoyed playing with the kids here.

We ran back over to Splash Mountain so they could use their fast passes there and waited until they were done. After we went over and did the Winnie the Poo ride. It was kind of like a big hallucinogen so I was wondering the whole time what the babies were thinking.

IMG_0192IMG_0199

We saw all of the Winnie the Poo characters but we didn’t want to wait in line to see them so we got them from afar. I didn’t want everyone to have to wait with us so…

IMG_0200IMG_0202

Then we played with bubbles for a while. Sadie LOVED all of the bubble guns they had at Disneyland. I was tempted to buy one but I wanted to get it somewhere else. She is getting one for Christmas shhhh!

The babies were WIPED by this point, I don’t think either had taken a nap all day really so they napped while we went over to dinner. Grandpa put Sadie to sleep in his arms (which is a feat for anyone who knows that Sadie doesn’t like to be held lying down or take naps in arms.)

IMG_0217IMG_0218IMG_0219

After dinner we rode the train and the boys left to go on an adventure. Grandpa, Jess and I (and the babies obviously) rode the train for a while around the park and then got off to go to Innovations.

IMG_0221IMG_0224

Finally somewhere for the babies to play and run around!

Disneyland3

They had an Ironman place to look at the suits. When I turned my back once Sadie was trying to climb under those glass barriers. She was close to getting through too!

IMG_0260IMG_0261

Halloween is cool because they had all of the decorations.

IMG_0268

The kids had fun brushing their teeth together and then they headed to bed.

IMG_0270IMG_0273

A little bit more hang out time before bed!

It was a really good day and we had a lot fun but we were really tired!!

Friday trip to CA

We bought our flights to go to Ca on Thursday and left Friday morning. We were excited to go but sad to leave Daddy because he had to study for his test and work.
We had a layover in Phoenix and the lady at the podium let Sadie play with the phone. It was really cute. She would call the other phone at the table and let Sadie answer it and then talk to her. Sadie loved it!

We liked all of the big open windows they had so we could see the air planes.

There were some awesome things to climb under while we waited for our flight.

We made a friend too and ran around stealing her toys.

Well, she shared in this picture :)
We sat by a nice couple headed to Orange County for a wedding. The flight was jam packed and they were nice to play with Sadie and entertain her until she fell asleep. I decided I needed to do some missionary work so I asked them if there was a Mormon temple in Phoenix. They said that there wasn't but that they were building on in Chandler (like 45 mins away). The conversation went on and I decided I needed to invite them to go to the temple open house and check it out but I was scared. Finally, I just did it and they were really receptive to it. The husband kept saying stuff like "everything has to be perfect because it is the Lord's house" and things like that. They said they have always wanted to go inside and look around and that it would be a good experience. I hope that they really do go! I didn't get any contact info but hopefully that was enough of a seed for them to actually get out and go when they get back!
Aaron and Grandma were nice to pick us up from the airport. They even brought us an in-and-out shake! Yum!! We stopped by Carls Jr. on the way to visit Uncle Milton so Sadie and I could get something to eat. That was really nice. Then we drove over to where Grandma's brother, Milton lives.
Aaron was excited about getting an ice cream for him and Sadie from the ice cream van. It drove by about five times playing its music.

Sadie apparently didn't like her first bite...
She did like to sneak up on Aaron though and tickle him...at least I think that is what she is doing.

She then proceeded to take the whole thing to eat for herself. She dropped it in the dirt after this picture just as Aaron was saying, "Don't let her drop it!" Whoops.
Everyone is deciding what we should do in this picture.

Just hanging in the dirt. She loved running around this area.

And Uncle Aaron loves to play with her and he was so good to her.
Grandpa, Jessica, Clark and Seth flew in at 9pm after we enjoyed food at the cheesecake factory. It was delicious! We said hi to them and then got settled. Jessica and I and our babies shared a room so it took a while for the kids to get settled. Once they did we slept okay...

Sugar

Sometimes Matt is so firm about not giving Sadie junk food. This time however, I think he enjoyed giving it to her. Matt wanted to see how Sadie would react if he gave her a chunk of straight sugar. We loved her facial expressions.
What is this?

This powder is making me sick.

Hmmmm. Maybe I actually do like this.

More?

End of September/October

We finished off September with a lot of events. We loved having Grammy and Grampy here to spend some time with us. Grampy was nice to babysit a lot for us so Grammy and I could get things done. We loved going to Sundance with them to enjoy the pretty leaves.

Sadie loved getting so much attention. She wasn't quite sure what to think about GRampy rawring

though. Especially when he had a scary Halloween mask on.

We have had really nice weather so we spent a bunch of time outside. We love having a friend to play with too. She is the daughter of a girl from my major who lives in our complex. They have fun with each other...Well, really next to each other since they cannot really handle playing together. We like to go walk in the leaves and draw with chalk. We also like to visit the dogs across the street from our complex. Their favorite thing though is to play with bubbles. They each like to try blowing the bubbles themselves, but are rarely successful. Makes good entertainment for Cami and me though.

We went to Jump On It one day with the Buck family (Its free for three and under). Sadie liked it, especially when Henry got there to play with her. The kids loved the merry-go-round a lot. The girls liked holding the balls. Jenny was a good sport to go in there and bounce with them since they weren't quite sure how to do it themselves.

Aunt Kristin was nice to come to the pumpkin Patch with us one day. She was nice to play with Sadie in the corn put and take her to play on the hay stacks. And she makes awesome faces.

We went to the pumpkin patch several times because it was free and had a bunch of activities. We enjoyed homecoming week pancakes and the parade at BYU. We loved going to the games and visiting Grandma Hatch.
It was a great month filled with a lot of entertainment! I will have a post for the end of October too but I am trying to play catch-up. (So all you get is the quick version unless I find some more time!)
