From the airport we drove straight to Park City to the house Matt’s parents had rented for 10 days. We missed the first couple days but we were excited to go see them. We got there late though and the kids had fallen asleep so I was mean and wouldn’t let the Hoffman kids wake Sadie up to say hi. I told them the girls would be way more fun the next day if they slept well. So we took them straight up, said hi to everyone, and went to bed ourselves. We had the same room that we had two years ago. Our closet was so big that we just put both girls in there. Matt was wonderful and brought up their beds and a couple other things for us to make the week better.
The next day we woke up and were so happy to see everyone. Sadie was really excited to see Clark.
The Hoffman’s spare no expense when it comes to the food at family gatherings which is awesome! We always eat so well when they are around! For some reason it was super smoky when Grandpa was grilling.
Everyone helps prepare the meals, even the guests which is good. We Hoffman’s are not huge fans of moochers that don’t even help set up or clean up or anything. Sadie and Clark had a good time pushing Scout around in the laundry basket.
Grandpa Hoffman always prepares a message for us on the 4th and it is always really good. Since the family was not together on the 4th he decided to do it the Sunday that we were all up there. I did Chrissy’s trivia from the Hatch reunion while Grandpa was getting ready.
Somehow Sadie managed to eat like 3 ice creams a day it felt like. She was in heaven. She would go find the next person who was getting ice cream and ask them for some. Who can resist that one anyway?
Someone and their boyfriend were off snuggling in the grass so we decided to surprise them. Here is right when we pulled the blinds up. Everyone got a good laugh and hopefully it was a good lesson for them!
That night we went on a hike. I was super crabby going but it ended up being awesome. I prayed that my attitude would be changed and Heavenly Father helped me enjoy the hike. I also had a good chat with my husband on the way down so that was nice.
On the way back to the house we saw a Mother Moose and her baby. Sorry for the terrible pictures but they were there I promise! That was really neat.
