Backpacking Day 5

Sometimes Sadie slept in my sleeping bag. It was so cozy.

Did I already mention that Kristin was the official cheese grater?
She always snuck some to me to munch on.
Dad Hoffman was awesome and made food. All the time. I love food.
He always did it so cheerfully too!

CAMP:
We washed our clothes in the lake. And then hung dry them.

The cooking area and tarp to hide from the rain and keep things dry.

Our tents were next to the rock mountain next to our camp. It was fun to climb on.
We used three tents. The green one to the left is Matts and Mine. _1130606
The tarp in the front is the “food tarp” where we left all the food.
We covered it at night and put rocks on to hide it from the nasty chipmunks.

Aaron, Seth, Daniel, Kristin and Dad Hoffman went to Lake Rosasco. Unfortuantely, Matt took a turn for the worse today and Sadie wasn’t feeling great either so we stayed at camp. I love this picture of Matt sleeping with Sadie.

I have been trying to capture sad faces from Sadie. These are good Smile
Most sad faces are from not being able to breathe through her nose Sad smile

I really wanted to “shower” and go jump in the lake. It was cloudy but I prayed that it would be sunny and warm so we could jump in. We hurried and did so when there were spots of sun Smile

The lake was beautiful and it felt good to jump in. Smile And to get somewhat clean.
