Temple Square

Mom reminded Chrissy and I that the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s Pioneer concert was happening.
We had two extra tickets so Chrissy was nice enough to let Grandma Betty and Justin come with us up
to Salt Lake. Grandma Betty had never been to Temple Square so it was fun to show her. We walked
around before the show and looked at the temple.

It was fun driving up with them because we talked a lot about Judaism and Mormonism.
I learned a lot and there were a lot of similarities between the two.

After visiting the temple we walked over and got in line to go into the conference center.

The program started off with “They, the Builders of the Nation,” and “Come, Come Ye Saints.”
The second song made me tear up it was so beautiful. The Motab is amazing. The lead performer was Katherine Jenkins,
a singer from Wales that was just on the show “Dancing with the Stars.” I thought the program was okay
but it was not incredible after those two songs. Jenkins was really good though…great voice!

After the show we went back over to the temple and took some pictures with the lights on.

 

Overall, it was a really fun evening and i was glad to be able to share it with Matt’s side.
